Dr. Yasmin Adams, DDS, FAGD
Fun fact - Dr. Adams was working as an engineer before a tooth ache lead her to see her then dentist, Dr. Lou Smoller! Say that out loud! It was that visit, and Dr. Smoller's Venn diagram of her own damaged tooth that sparked her passion for dentistry and lead her to apply to dental school!
A Long Island native and mother to three boys, Dr. Adams fell in love with all that Urbana has to offer, and moved to the area in 2019. She has been making many friends and memories since then! Dr. Adams enjoys Pilates, yoga and standup paddle boarding. On the weekends, she also loves to try new recipes in her kitchen.
Dr. Adams holds a double bachelors degree from Stony Brook University in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology. She later went on to study for a masters in biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Adams graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, which consistently ranks as one of the top five dental schools both nationally and globally. Dr. Adams advanced her skills by completing a General Practice Residency at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Dr. Adams went on to complete a rigorous educational pathway to be accredited as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction of excellence held by only 6% of US dentists.
